I know when I was looking into the possibility of fitting some form of renewable energy device to my home, back in 2005/6, I struggled to find independent advice from people who had got there before me. I want this website to help those now considering renewables and other environmental homes improvements.

If you have eco friendly products in your home I want you to tell others about it. Why did you choose what you did? What works in your area, what doesn't? For example, I live in an area where the wind speed is just not strong enough to justify having a wind turbine. However, the PV solar panels we had installed do generate a substantial amount of electricity and I believe were a good choice (and an even better choice now with the feed in tariff).
